Job Description
The role…
The Wealth Adviser role is varied, dynamic, and will provide the successful candidate with a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop in the Financial Advice industry within in a supportive, growth-focused team.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Client Meetings (file notes/fact finds)
To sit in on client appointments with advisers
Responsible for taking detailed meeting notes to be input using the agreed template/format (AI is used to assist with this process)
Post-meeting updates to client details/Fact Find
Attend to client tasks, and follow up with clients any outstanding information, post-meeting
Strategy Development, Research & Advice Requests
To liaise with the advisers to develop appropriate strategies
Research as required using Wealth Solver & Risk Researcher
Preparation of Paraplanning Advice Requests using the agreed template/format
Checking of advice documents
Assist with checking advice documents
Maintain Professional & Technical Financial Planning Knowledge
Attend appropriate courses, keep up to date with latest trends in financial planning to ensure an up-to-date understanding of the financial planning profession and legislation is maintained
Maintain product, technical and compliance knowledge/requirements in accordance with the practice and industry guidelines
Maintain understanding of obligations and ensure compliance with this and other regulatory legislation and standards
Desired Skills and Experience
Who we’re looking for…
The successful candidate for this role will possess the following:
Essential
Bachelor degree in relevant discipline (Financial Planning, Finance, Economics etc) or alternately 3 + years’ experience in a similar role*
Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Ability to quickly learn the features and functionality of appropriate financial planning software and other business systems
Determination to deliver on personal goals and objectives
Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team
Self-motivated with regard to personal and professional development
Desirable
Good knowledge of the regulatory environment for Financial Advice
Formal qualification in Financial Planning
Experience within the financial services industry
